Check before you transfer: stopping romance-investment scams

The most damaging dating scams don't ask for money directly — they invite you into a 'great investment' a caring partner is letting you in on.
Pause on any of these: a new match who steers toward crypto or trading; a platform only they recommend; profits you can 'see' but can't withdraw without a fee.
Never move money to keep a relationship going. A real partner will never make your affection conditional on a transfer.
Verify identity first. Honne confirms every member's identity before you can message — which strips away the anonymity these schemes depend on.
If you've already sent funds, stop contact, screenshot everything, and report it to your bank and local fraud line immediately.
